Higher Rew COVID19 Guidance

Since the announcement on Monday 22nd February  we are planning to open the park on Monday 12th April  but we are not permitted to open shared facilities.  If this changes then we will follow government advice and make the necessary adjustments.  This means that the toilets and indoor showers will be closed to the public and everyone coming to Higher Rew from the 12th April to the 17th May.

Most virologists agree that covid-19 can live airborne in a confined air space for up to three hours so the indoor showers will remain closed.
The play barn was closed in 2020 and this remans the case for 2021.
We have installed free, outdoor, hot showers (these are screened but not totally private)
The laundry area, freezer (for ice packs only) and some dish washing sinks will be closed as per government guidelines.
There is a chemical waste disposal point and 20 taps for collecting mains drinking water.
There will be sanitiser available at most ‘shared surface’ points.
The shop/reception will be open mornings and evenings offering a ‘counter service’. We are stocking basic foods and other camping/caravan essentials.

Although more of our facilities will be open we strongly advise all those who have their own facilities to use them as much as possible as this is still the safest option.

The tennis court is available to hire but guests will have to provide their own rackets and balls.
Free wifi is available in the areas surrounding the buildings. There is under cover seating provided.
Deliveries of groceries will be permitted.
A pop-up pizzeria will be selling freshly cooked pizza’s at the Park from 5pm on Friday evenings.
Take away food outlets in Kingsbridge (Indian and Chinese) will deliver to the park. We have their menu’s at reception.

We will provide everyone who has a confirmed reservation at Higher Rew with information by email regarding arrival at Higher Rew and our COVID-19 spread prevention procedures a few days before arriving.

We will be expecting ALL guests to adhere to social distancing and the guidance we have in place both on the park and in the surrounding area.

Refund Policy with COVID. (please read carefully)

Please note that we will offer a full refund (minus £1 banking charge) if the Government place a restriction on travel within the UK and you are not allowed to travel to the campsite.    You also have the option of carrying the deposit through to another date in the future.

Should you contract COVID or have to self isolate and it is less than 7 days until your visit to Higher Rew, then we would try our best to re let the pitch and refund you each night as applicable.   If you have any queries regarding this please do not hesitate to contact us.
